There are several points to consider when building a Clausbilt Home Theater. Basically there are two main components; Audio and Video (A/V). The other components such as A/V source, wiring and construction all fit into these two categories.
Video: For most, picture is more important, that is the need for a large screen, whether Projection, Plasma, LCD or LED. We are now suggesting the use of a new UHD LED monitor. LED monitors (Screen, TV) use very little power and generate little heat. Plasma and projectors offer good picture quality but put out as many BTU's of heat as a small portable heater, and their bulbs need replacement several times throughout the lifetime of the equipment. LED monitors are now available in sizes up to 60"+ which means they will be taking over the market in the years to come. (Originally written pre 2010, during the plasma craze)
Audio: Most of our Clausbilt Home Theater systems in Thailand, and abroad, have been ordered by true Audiophiles. These people are sound connoisseurs and strive for the near perfect reproduction of sound. We share and understand this passion. True audiophiles know that there are three markets for speakers; Consumer (civilian), High-End (Audiophile) and Professional (Cinema and Concert). With this knowledge, one quickly rules out the poorly constructed lightweight components intended for mass consumption. This leaves you with two sources to pick one or as we like to do; mix and match. Cast Iron frames, Rare-Earth Magnets, Butyl Rubber Surrounds, Double Spiders and Vented Voice-Coils; if this sounds right to you you are an Audiophile, if it sounds like a foreign language you have come to the right place.
Depending on our clients specific taste we will tailor your project to your ultimate desire. At our location in Bangkok we have an on-staff sound-field designer who will design your home theater, from the shape of the room to the design of the speaker cabinetry. Our use of the D’appolito system, among others, ensures seamless sound-field and endless audiophile enjoyment.
"One of our favorite requests was an iPod operated flat-panel monitor and stereo speakers in the shower! These special projects are a real treat for you and our techs".
